Job Description
Kinetic PLC are proud to be supporting one of our clients in the recruitment of a Material Planner to join their team at their Peterborough site.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to gain hands-on experience supporting the planning team with essential supply chain and materials operations.\n\nWorking Hours:\n* Monday to Friday\n* 39 hours per week\n* Hybrid role - usually 2 days per week working from home\n\nContract & Rate:\n* Initial 9-month contract with potential for extension\n* £13.80 per hour\n\nWhat you'll be doing:\n* Checking daily material planning panels to ensure there is enough stock to meet production and customer demand.\n* Creating and releasing purchase orders so products and materials arrive when they're needed.\n* Reviewing supplier order boards and keeping internal planning systems updated with the latest information.\n* Adjusting and rescheduling purchase orders to help improve delivery times and support the wider supply chain.\n* Providing accurate, up-to-date information to the Customer Order Management team so they can plan customer orders correctly.\n* Attending regular end-to-end planning meetings to review outstanding orders and discuss upcoming requirements.\n* Maintaining strong communication with plant and warehouse teams to make sure lead time information is accurate and reliable.\n\nHealth & Safety Responsibilities:\n* Reporting any accidents, hazards or safety concerns as soon as they arise.\n* Following all health and safety procedures, policies and site rules.\n* Completing any required HSE training to ensure safe working practices.\n\nWhat you get in return:\n* Competitive pay at £13.80 per hour for 39 hours per week.\n* Hybrid working with the flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.\n* Valuable experience in materials planning and supply chain operations.\n* Exposure to a structured, professional environment in a globally recognised company.\n* Opportunities to develop your skills and grow within the organisation.\n\nThis is a great opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on experience within a globally recognised company, supporting the planning team with essential supply chain and materials operations.\nIf you're organised, motivated and have a strong eye for detail, we'd love to hear from you!\n\nKinetic plc is a Recruitment Consultancy with over 40 years' experience delivering staffing solutions to the engineering, manufacturing, and technical industries.\nKinetic plc treats all applications confidentially and reviews all submissions.
