Job Purpose
This is a standalone marketing role requiring a confident, self-sufficient marketing professional who can work collaboratively to develop strategy and roll up their sleeves to execute it. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering compelling content across all key channels, positioning the firm as a leading voice in the legal sector and supporting its continued growth.
The postholder will work in close collaboration with an external fractional Marketing Director, who provides strategic oversight and direction. The successful candidate will benefit from senior marketing leadership and a clear strategic framework, whilst retaining day-to-day autonomy and ownership of execution. The ability to take strategic direction and translate it into high-quality, consistent output will be central to success in this position.
The firm is at an exciting point in its growth, and marketing has a meaningful role to play in that journey. The postholder will have the autonomy to build something of genuine impact, developing Hab law’s voice and growing its online and offline marketing presence.
This role carries genuine long-term potential. As the firm grows, the expectation is that the Marketing Manager will evolve with it — taking on responsibility for building and leading their own team and shaping the structure and direction of the marketing function for the future.
Key Responsibilities
• Work within the firm's overarching marketing strategy to develop and execute meaningful, purposeful content across all channels, ensuring all activity is aligned to business development objectives • Produce, edit and publish social media content that strikes the right balance between educational, entertaining and commercially relevant, that reflects the firm's expertise whilst remaining accessible and engaging to its audience • Own and manage the firm's LinkedIn presence, developing a consistent content, growing the firm's following and monitoring channel performance to inform ongoing activity • Analyse the performance of campaigns and social channels, producing regular reporting and using data-driven insight to continuously improve content effectiveness and reach • Develop compelling case studies that bring the firm's work to life, showcasing expertise, client outcomes and sector knowledge in a format suitable for use across digital and business development channels • Lead the firm's thought leadership programme, collaborating with partners and fee earners to produce articles and seek PR opportunities. • Manage the firm's website, ensuring content remains current, accurate and optimised for search, and develop and implement an SEO strategy to improve organic visibility • Plan, coordinate and promote the firm's events and seminar programme, managing all associated communications and producing post-event content to maximise reach and engagement • Partner with the in-house talent acquisition function to develop and execute recruitment marketing campaigns and bring the firm's employer brand to life across relevant channels • Manage relationships with any external suppliers, designers or agencies as required, ensuring delivery is on brief, on brand and on time • Ensure all marketing output is consistent with the firm's brand guidelines, values
Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum five years' marketing experience, ideally within a legal, professional services or B2B environment with sensitivity to potential audiences • Demonstrable experience of creating and executing content strategies across multiple channels • Proven track record of managing LinkedIn and other digital channels with measurable results • Experience of thought leadership content production, including working with senior stakeholders to develop and edit written materials • Hands-on experience of website management and SEO, including working with CMS platforms (Salesforce) and analytics tools • Experience planning and coordinating events or seminars, including associated communications and content • Experience of employer brand or recruitment marketing activity is desirable
