Role Purpose An opportunity for a mechanical or structural engineer with a composites background to join the delivery team on a large high profile design project delivering into the maritime defence sector. The role will be responsible for activities relating to the verification and validation of composite structural and non-structural components from coupon testing through to large assemblies. The engineer will be expected to work with other teams supporting the development of both bonded and bolted composite joints and the design of the composite to metalwork interface. The successful candidate will have experience in verification and validation of composite structures using pre-preg and resin infusion techniques. The candidate will have a proven track record of delivering to time and budget on complex programmes and an ability to work independently and critically review their own work. The candidate will also be involved in the peer reviewing of other engineering work packages in support of your colleagues. Key Accountabilities Delivery. To provide effective leadership and coordination of the engineering and technical activities to deliver specific projects.
