Manufacturing/Process Engineer Location: Antrim Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 Contract: Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday | Early finish on Fridays A well-established and highly automated manufacturing business based in Antrim is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join its engineering team. This role plays a key part in driving process efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement within a machine-based production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, optimising manufacturing processes, and working cross-functionally to support both new product introduction and ongoing operational performance. The Role: Design, develop, and optimise manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality Support the development and implementation of new production lines and equipment Prepare and maintain process documentation, specifications, and standards Analyse production methods, materials, and equipment to identify cost-effective solutions Drive process improvements to reduce downtime, defects, and waste Work closely with product design teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to processes, materials, and equipment Support maintenance and modification of existing machinery to improve reliability Deliver training to operators and production staff where required Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Analyse production data and KPIs to support performance reporting Carry out cost analysis and value engineering activities What We're Looking For: Qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering (or similar) Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role Strong knowledge of machine-based manufacturing environments Experience with machining, assembly, or welding processes Proficient in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD) Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability High attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset What's On Offer: Salary of £40,000 - £45,000 Monday to Friday working pattern Early finish every Friday Generous annual leave including Christmas and New Year shutdown Employee and retail discounts Free on-site parking Stable, long-term role within a well-invested manufacturing operation This role would suit a Manufacturing Engineer looking for strong work-life balance, competitive pay, and the opportunity to make a real impact in a modern manufacturing environment.
