This business is looking to appoint a Technical Officer who will sit at the centre of operations and quality, helping ensure products, systems and processes meet the highest standards while supporting the ongoing development of the site.

What you NEED...

Experience working in a technical, quality or operational support role within a manufacturing environment

Good understanding of quality systems, audits and accreditation frameworks such as ISO standards

Experience investigating non-conformances and driving corrective and preventive actions

Ability to analyse operational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and repeatability

Strong communication skills with the confidence to work closely with management, supervisors and production teams

Comfortable creating procedures, documentation and performance reports

Relevant HNC, HND or degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality or a related discipline

This established UK manufacturer specialises in producing high-quality bespoke products for commercial and construction markets. Operating from a modern production facility in Nottingham, the business is continuing to invest in its systems, processes and accreditations to support future growth.

The Technical Officer will play a key role in supporting quality management, improving operational systems and ensuring the site maintains the standards required by customers and regulatory bodies.

Role & Responsibilities

Own and maintain the site Quality Management System

Develop and update quality procedures, work instructions and documentation

Investigate quality issues and non-conformances and drive corrective actions

Monitor quality performance including scrap, rework and customer complaints

Oversee site accreditations and coordinate internal and external audits

Review operational systems and identify opportunities for improvement

Map and document production processes to improve efficiency and repeatability

Support the implementation of new systems such as ERP, MRP or quality platforms

Lead trials, testing and validation of new processes or digital tools

Develop and deliver training materials for operators, supervisors and office teams

Provide technical support on product specifications, tolerances and manufacturing capabilities

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site including lean projects and waste reduction
