We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join a global advanced manufacturing business in Southampton. This is a great opportunity to join a growing operation with ongoing investment in automation. The role offers a high level of variety and strong technical challenges within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You’ll play a key role in supporting production, improving processes and introducing new products into manufacturing within a collaborative engineering environment.
The Mechanical Engineer Role
Working closely with the Engineering team to support various manufacturing processes, your main responsibilities will include:
* Manage and maintain production documentation
* Investigate and resolve production issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
* Support the introduction of new products into production using APQP
* Identify and support continuous improvement activities
* Investigate and support new manufacturing technologies and processes
* Help with setting up and programming production equipment
* Ensure process changes are documented accurately
* Work cross-functionally to ensure products meet required standards
This is a hands-on role supporting manufacturing and process engineering activities.
