Job Description
Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for Manufacturing Engineer on a 18 month contract based in Warwickshire.\n\nRole Summary\n\n• Leading Capex investment projects- from proposal/cost benefit analysis through to installation and commissioning/handover.\n\n• Leading Lean/Kaizen improvement studies to improve manufacturing efficiencies.\n\n• Planning and coordination of preparation activities, installation/commissioning of new kit, equipment, or contractor supervision.\n\n• Driving Kaizen initiatives and tracking their impact/cost savings\n\n• Leading initiatives and presentations to senior leaders to get buy in and approval for business funding.\n\n• Analysing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment placement to maximise manufacturing efficiency.\n\n• Mentoring and Leadership of less experienced Engineers, supporting the drive and team ethos for MRT.\n\nRequirements\n\n• An experienced Lean Leader with strong leadership abilities to lead change within our manufacturing organisation.\n\n• An engineer preferably with strong CAD Design skills (Preferably in Creo), who can model tooling concepts and see them through to a detailed design.\n\n• Demonstrable Lean Qualifications and/or prior experience in leading Lean initiatives.\n\n• Capability to set and meet aggressive goals. Motivated and driven to continually improve. Driven self-starter who reacts positively to challenges.\n\n• Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Methodical worker with focus on attention to detail. Structured in approach and well organised.\n\n• Outstanding computer literacy and knowledge of design. Computer literate in Word processing, Excel and Power point applications.\n\n• The aptitude to work as part of a diverse and multi-disciplined project team, whilst working on multiple projects and delivering to EHS, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics.\n\n• Strong written and verbal communication skills including negotiation, and presentation.\n\n• A broad knowledge of manufacturing processes, their engineering challenges and best practices.\n\n• Motivating and influencing change agent.\n\n• Flexible approach, willing to work extended hours and travel when required.\n\n• Demonstrated experience leading engineering design and design reviews.\n\n• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and documentation.\n\n• Proven ability to work in a dynamic team environment.\n\n• Demonstrated ability to train shopfloor operators and explain complex engineering processes.
