With a strong reputation for excellence, safety, and client satisfaction, they continue to expand and are now seeking to appoint a talented Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager to join their growing team.The OpportunityThis is a key leadership role within the commercial team, responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual management of multiple projects of varying scale and complexity. Working closely with both operational and commercial leads, the successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, while protecting both client and company interests.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are clearly understood and consistently achievedPrepare accurate and timely valuations in line with contract requirementsIdentify, price, and manage variations throughout the project lifecycleLead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliersOversee subcontractor procurement and full account managementIssue subcontract orders and manage payment processes, including certificationPrepare and submit contractual notices in accordance with project obligationsProduce and maintain detailed commercial reports (CVR, Cashflow, Cost to Complete, Value for Money)Ensure robust document control and maintain accurate project recordsDeliver precise and timely financial reportingOperate in full compliance with company policies, procedures, and management systemsSupport and mentor junior team members, typically managing teams of 25The CandidateProven experience operating as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager within the construction sectorStrong commercial acumen with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skillsExperience within social housing refurbishment is highly desirableA proactive and organised approach, with strong attention to detailWhats on OfferCompetitive salary up to £90,000Car allowanceTravel expensesJBRP1_UKTJ
