Managing Quantity Surveyor

We are recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor for a Tier main contrcator based in Reading who operate across the South Coast and M4 corridor.
Initial schemes to look at are a £90 million scheme near Southampton that is currently being negotiated with the client and is construction of new 800 bed student development. RC Frame and full fit out. Alongside this are 2no. major education schemes on the DFE framework both approx £45 million new builds.
Your role is to lead and manage the project commercial team, work with the estimating, design and delivery teams to establish best practice and delivery methods, Deal with the client and all the external stakeholders for the scheme.
You will be responsible for all the financial forecasting and reporting and use your acumen and skills to maximise margins whilst not delaying or compromising the build programme or quality of the finish. You will take the lead on the new development opportunities from the client and take a hands on approach with the larger complex subcontract packages such as groundwork's and services. You will help to train, mentor and develop the team on site and be responsible for new appointments and building the final project team.
