Where will you be working? At M Group Energy, were enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within our Transmission & Renewables team . We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity. This will be based on a National Grid site in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Want to come and be a part of it? What will you be doing? Were looking for a confident and commercially savvy Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead the charge on a high-profile National Grid project. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, know your way around NEC contracts, and enjoy working closely with site teams, this could be your next big move! Youll: Take the lead on all things commercial across National Grid sites Manage subcontractor packages, valuations, and final accounts Prepare claims, reports, and forecasts Keep a close eye on project risks and making sure the paperworks watertight Spot variations, delays, and opportunities to recover costs Work with engineers, planners, and finance teams to keep things on track Ensure we stay compliant with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards What youll bring: Knowledge of the Electricity Transmission (OHL / Substations) industry would be beneficial but we would consider major infrastructure experience managing multimillion pound projects Experience managing major subcontractor packages & the Client Qualification in Quantity Surveying Graduate or graduate calibre Strong grasp of NEC3/4 contracts and commercial strategy Sound communication and negotiation skills Confident with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying Full UK driving licence Whats in it for you?
