ABOUT THE JOB The Management Accountant is responsible for delivering high-quality financial management information, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial control across the business. This role plays a key part in budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and providing financial insight to senior stakeholders. Location - Head Office, Boucher Road Full Time | Hybrid working JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FINANCIAL REPORTING & ANALYSIS Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis Produce insightful financial commentary explaining performance, trends, and key drivers Analyse profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow performance Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support decision-making Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to senior management as required Provide assistance to finance team members in their roles when required BUDGETING & FORECASTING Assist in the annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes Work with budget holders to challenge assumptions and improve forecast accuracy Track performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks and opportunities Support strategic planning through financial input and modelling COST CONTROL & EFFICIENCY Monitor cost performance and investigate variances against budget and prior periods Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements Support cost allocation, margin analysis, and profitability reviews Develop KPIs to track cost efficiency and financial performance Partner with operational teams to embed cost-conscious decision-making COMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCE Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation, internal controls, and company policies Maintain balance sheet integrity through regular reviews and reconciliations Support statutory accounts preparation and external audit processes Ensure financial reporting deadlines and governance requirements are met Identify and manage financial risks, escalating issues where appropriate SYSTEMS & PROCESS IMPROVEMENT Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, planning, and control processes Improve efficiency through automation, standardisation, and system enhancements Support implementation of new systems, tools, and reporting solutions QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Experience in management accounting or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) Experience working with senior management and cross-functional teams Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial control DESIRIBLE Knowledge of financial modelling and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI) Line management experience ABOUT US At Connected Health, we don't just offer a job we offer careers that are at the forefront of transforming the way homecare is delivered across Northern Ireland.
