About the Business

A private equity-backed fitness and wellness brand with a growing UK footprint is seeking to strengthen its finance team. Operating in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, the business is scaling rapidly and offers strong exposure to commercial finance.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a recently qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA, 0–2 years PQE) to take ownership of the month-end process in an SME setting. This role would suit someone from a small practice background with accounts preparation experience or an industry-trained accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of month-end close, including accruals, prepayments and fixed assets
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of the trial balance
• VAT returns and audit support
• Managing payment runs and supporting cash flow
• KPI and ad hoc reporting
• Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency

About You

• Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong technical experience
• Proven experience preparing full sets of accounts and managing month-end in an SME
• Background in small practice or relevant industry role
• Strong Excel skills and a proactive approach
• Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
