Qualified Accountant Permanent Role Salary up to £60k Glasgow City Centre Oliver Smith Recruitment is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join one of our key clients in Glasgow. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving effective debt recovery processes. Proficiency in Sage Accounting Software is essential, alongside strong analytical and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely reconciliation. Oversee debt recovery processes, including liaising with customers and external agencies to secure outstanding payments. Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal policies. Utilise Sage Accounting Software to streamline financial processes and reporting. Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management. Support audits and liaise with external auditors when required. Requirements Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in debt recovery and credit control. Strong proficiency in Sage Accounting Software. Excellent knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
