The Role: As Management Accountant, youll support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting. Youll also oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring strong financial controls and smooth transactional processing. This business is looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and excited by the opportunity to help shape a growing finance function.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts and deliver accurate financial information Support audit preparation, liaising with external auditors and ensuring statutory compliance Supervise and mentor Accounts Assistants, ensuring timely completion of purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, and other transactional tasks Oversee the credit control function, supporting the team to ensure effective debtor management and timely collections Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Support month-end and year-end close processes Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial procedures Provide financial insight and support to other departments across the business Contribute to ad hoc projects and wider business initiatives Qualifications & Experience: Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience Proven experience in a management accounting role Strong technical accounting knowledge, including experience preparing accounts under FRS102 Previous experience supervising or managing a small finance team Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment
