Management Accountant job in Ayrshire Your new company Based in Ayrshire, our client is recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours of work are Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5pm and Friday 8.30am-4pm. The role is office-based, and it is advisable (but not essential) that applicants have access to their own transport. Your new role Reporting to the Finance Manager and working as part of a team, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting, with a particular focus on inventory control. This is a hands-on role offering exposure across the business and the opportunity to add real value. Your key duties will include; Daily inventory control, analysis, and reporting Management of P&L variance accounts Completion of allocated balance sheet reconciliations Processing of month-end stock reconciliations Delivery of key reports including transactional and balance sheet reconciliations Waste management analysis and reporting Monthly gross margin revenue analysis Tank farm and works order monitoring, analysis, and reporting Ensuring controls are in place for accurate financial reporting Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including auditors

What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will ideally be (but not essentially) part-qualified ACCA or CIMA, and/or have equivalent industry experience. Ideally, you’ll bring experience from a manufacturing environment and demonstrate strong IT skills, particularly in Excel. You’ll have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. A strong analytical mindset and the ability to interpret and communicate data clearly will be key to your success.
