Management Accountant | Cheadle | £40,000pa

We are supporting a fantastic client looking for a Management Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a broad and impactful position offering hands on involvement in day to day finance operations, alongside the opportunity to help build and scale the financial infrastructure of an expanding business.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, contribute to strategic initiatives, and gain exposure to M&A activity, investor reporting, and process transformation within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This opportunity is officed based initially whilst you learn and grow within the role but after successful probation 1 day a week WFH.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and bank postings
• Assist in producing Board packs and investor reports for Private Equity stakeholders
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and ensuring accuracy
• Contribute to annual audit processes, liaising with external auditors
• Collaborate with tax advisers to ensure regulatory compliance
• Provide ad hoc support across the finance function
• Assist with integrating finance systems, processes, and controls from acquired businesses
• Support group consolidation and reporting for newly acquired entities
• Help design and enhance financial processes to support business growth
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and projects led by the CFO and Board

Requirements of the role:

• Part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Background in finance with exposure to management accounting
• Experience with finance systems and process improvement is advantageous
• Exposure to M&A or Private Equity environments is a plus
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems
