Our client, a market leading company, are currently recruiting an ambitious, commercial aware and proactive Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller in preparing monthly management information and other financial performance analytics.Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reportsSupporting the FC with the daily management of the team, cash flow forecasting, departmental budgeting and cost centre analysis to drive efficiencies and improve workflows across the businessDeveloping best practice processes and procedures both in the department and across the wider business where applicableOversee daily accounting operations (sales ledger, purchase ledger, cashbook)Reconcile bank accounts, stock, and manufacturer accountsManage month-end and year-end close processesSupport budgeting and forecasting activitiesAnalyse variances and provide actionable insights to managementEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting standardsLiaise with auditors, external accountants, and stakeholdersMaintaining the VAT ReturnsAdditional ad hoc / project dutiesAs a successful candidate you will be AAT Qualified / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and studying towards CIMA/ACCA or QBE with a strong understanding of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls. Proven experience in retail / multi-site finance environment would be an advantage.You will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent attention to detail, strong communication and business partnering skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
