The Role: We are seeking a hands-on Management Accountant to take ownership of the day-to-day management accounts function within a fast-paced SME environment. This role is ideal for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys being close to the numbers, supporting operational teams, and driving financial control and process improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Full production of monthly management accounts - Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis - Cashflow forecasting and working capital control - Nominal ledger control, journals, accruals & prepayments - Stock analysis, aged stock reporting and margin analysis - Supplier payments, credit control and debtor management - VAT returns and HMRC compliance - Financial KPI reporting for senior management - FX exposure monitoring and currency risk awareness - Partnering with non-finance stakeholders across operations and supply chain - Supporting year-end audit preparation
