Are you a Manufacturing Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, automated production environment? Do you enjoy keeping complex machinery running efficiently, solving problems under pressure, and playing a key role in meeting quality and delivery targets? This is a hands-on role with ownership of production line maintenance within a just-in-time manufacturing operation. You will maintain and improve automated equipment, lead corrective repairs, and support production teams to ensure consistent performance in a high-pressure environment. ________________________________________ The Role - Maintain plant and machinery through planned preventative maintenance (PPM) - Take responsibility for two production lines operating on a just-in-time sequence, working alongside the Shift Maintenance Engineer - Carry out pre-shift checks and condition-based maintenance - Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic and mechanical faults - Lead corrective repairs and minimise downtime - Proactively plan and schedule maintenance activities - Plan and manage residual inspections and repairs - Produce shift and breakdown reports - Maintain and update risk assessments, manual handling assessments and work procedures - Support production teams to meet quality and delivery requirements - Adhere to safety and environmental procedures - Participate in maintenance, production and safety meetings ________________________________________ The Candidate - Level 3 Engineering or Maintenance qualification - Completed a general maintenance apprenticeship - Strong electro-mechanical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment - Proven fault-finding ability on complex machinery - Able to balance urgent breakdown response with planned maintenance - Effective communicator and strong team player - Positive, proactive approach to problem solving - Working knowledge of lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, TPM, AM & PM) - PC literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - Able to read engineering drawings - Full driving licence Desirable: - Automotive manufacturing experience - CAD experience - IPAF certification - Welding skills (Arc / MIG) - 17th Edition qualification - PLC experience and programming ability - Experience with Mitsubishi or Allen-Bradley PLCs
