Maintenance Technician
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical maintenance on large production machines.
Respond to and repair mechanical breakdowns swiftly.
Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and prevent recurrence.
Conduct planned refurbishments of production machinery once trained.
Conduct checks and thermal inspections on production equipment.
Execute Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and address reactive maintenance needs.
Ensure all tasks are completed safely, adhering to Health and Safety regulations.
Accurately complete all engineering documentation required.
Manufacture spare parts (simple brackets, guards, and fixtures) using lathes or milling machines as needed.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A strong background in mechanical maintenance, ideally from a workshop or agricultural setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure.
An engineering qualification (NVQ level or above, ideally with an apprenticeship).
Good knowledge of mechanical/maintenance engineering practices.
A welding certificate (preferred but not essential).
