Maintenance Team Member / Technician, Rolling StockRullion is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified mechanical fitter to become part of an established rolling stock company based out of Oxley, Wolverhampton. You will play a pivotal role as part of the maintenance team dedicated to a High-Speed locomotive fleetThis role falls inside of IR35 and therefore payment options are either PAYE or Umbrella:Contract: 6 month rollingHourly rate: £31.88 - £38.18 (Umbrella) /£24.96 - £28.34 (PAYE). Shift work, early and late turns. These rotate over a 9 week scheduleEarly - 06.00 to 14.00Early - 06.00 to 18.00Late - 12.30 to 20.00Late - 19.30 to 06.00Principal Accountability'sTo undertake service and repair of the depot rolling stock and associated equipment in support of the operation of the depot.Servicing, maintaining and repair of the overhaul fleet locomotives, coaching stock, and equipment.Ensuring that the fleet is serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.Seeking to improve quality.Operate as a member of a work team, as the role of that work team requires.Maintain good housekeeping within the working area.Undertake any other duties as and when required within the scope of the modification work.Knowledge & ExperienceProven experience working in a Mechanical or Electrical engineering environmentMechanical or Electrical qualification at NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary teamStrong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approachExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsCapable of working independently and using own initiative when requiredSound judgement with confident decision-making skillsAbility to accurately complete all documentation, records, and operational reports in line with proceduresBReedSince 1978, Rullion has been securing exceptional candidates for a range of clients; from large well-known brands to SMEs and start-ups.
