Maintenance Mechanical Engineer -Leeds - LS1 - X1 Job Available
\n
A Maintenance Mechanical Engineer is required for a static site role in Leeds (LS1) , working within a healthcare environment.
\n
This is a long-term position with opportunities for permanent employment.
\n
Shift Pattern: 4 days (6:00am - 6:00pm), 4 days off, 4 nights (6:00pm - 6:00am), 4 days off - rolling shift pattern providing 24/7/365 cover.
\n
Pay Rate: £20.36 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
\nDuties will include:\n
\n \n Leading the shift team and providing support to working colleagues
\n
\n
\n Carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of building, mechanical and electrical services, associated systems, plant and equipment in line with relevant standards and procedures
\n
\n
\n Participating in the rotating shift pattern to provide continuous service cover
\n
\n
\n Providing cover for absent colleagues where required
\n
\n
\n Working in accordance with safe working practices within statutory, NHS, Trust and Company guidelines
\n
\n
\n Maintaining, servicing and repairing a wide range of building services including:
\n
\n \n Heating and domestic water services
\n
\n
\n General electrical services (lighting and power)
\n
\n
\n Air handling units
\n
\n
\n Low voltage electrical distribution systems and switchgear
\n
\n
\n Emergency standby generating plant
\n
\n
\n Fire alarm systems and emergency lighting
\n
\n
\n Electrical control systems
\n
\n
\n Building Management Systems (BMS)
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n Maintaining accurate records and completing service reports, providing regular updates to the line manager
\n
\n
\n Carrying out minor installation and upgrade works when required
\n
\n
\n Assisting other skilled trades with maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation work
\n
\n
\n Undertaking training to maintain and develop skills in line with service requirements
\n
\n
\n Acting as Competent or Authorised Person when appointed
\n
\n
\n Liaising and undertaking duties at other healthcare projects if directed
\n
\n
\n Undertaking overtime where required to maintain service delivery
\n
\n
\n Carrying out any other duties commensurate with grade
\n
\n
\nQualifications / Experience Required:\n
\n \n Qualified, time-served engineer
\n
\n
\n Minimum 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience
\n
\n
\n Healthcare experience desirable but not essential
\n
\n
\n Cross-trade experience advantageous
\n
\n
\n
