Burton-on-Trent & Leicester (multi-site role)

£40,000 – £48,000 depending on experience

Access to company vehicle


Nutriment Natural Treats is a growing manufacturer of natural pet treats supplying retailers and distributors across the UK and internationally.

We are looking for a Maintenance & Engineering Lead to take ownership of equipment reliability across our production sites in Burton and Leicester.

This is a hands-on role with a key focus on introducing structure and improving how maintenance is managed across the business.



The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of a wide range of production equipment, while building a preventative maintenance system from the ground up.

You will support multiple sites and play a critical role in reducing downtime, improving reliability and supporting production.



Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance programme across all sites

• Respond to breakdowns and carry out fault finding and repairs

• Maintain and improve a wide range of production equipment including grinders, fillers, forming and clipping machines

• Identify recurring issues and implement long-term fixes

• Manage and organise spare parts and critical components

• Work closely with production teams to minimise disruption

• Standardise maintenance practices across sites

• Support installation and setup of new equipment



About You

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys problem solving and taking ownership of maintenance systems.

You will likely have experience in roles such as:

• Maintenance Engineer

• Multi-Skilled Engineer

• Shift Engineer

• Engineering Supervisor

Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or similar environments would be highly beneficial.



Skills & Experience

• Strong mechanical skills with experience on production machinery

• Ability to diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to work independently across multiple sites

• Organised and proactive approach to maintenance

Experience implementing preventative maintenance systems would be a strong advantage.
