To helpenable us to strengthen and further develop the technical capability within our manufacturingsuites, we are seeking Maintenance Engineers to join our growing site.How you will make an impact: In this role you will be participating a wide range of maintenance engineering activities throughoutour production footprint. You will engage with colleagues at multiple levels and from severalsubject areas, to work together to ensure we deliver an exciting and robust production facility toour clients.You will take part and take accountability for maintenance activities (planned and unplanned),utilising operational excellence and continuous improvement activities. With the aim of improvingequipment reliability and ensuring minimal equipment downtime.What you’ll do: • During maintenance incidents, you will effectively engage problem solving and leanmanufacturing techniques. Identifying the true root cause of the issue – and implementthe corrective actions. Wider, we will drive improvements across the maintenance teamto improve efficiency, hold high standards of 5S, eliminating or reducing waste and/ornon-value add activities. This gives you the opportunity to actively participating inupgrading and improving equipment or engaging in projects.• The team will complete important documentation, including highlighting errors or badpractices and making suggestions for improvements. Leading the progression ofdocumentation (e.g. Change Controls, Validation documents, etc) through to completion.• Utilising external resource where appropriate, you will acquire services/components.Generating, completing (with approvals) the appropriate documentation (e.g. PurchaseOrders, spares requests, quotations, etc).• You will have awareness of, and control spares in an efficient manner.• Holding accountability and responsibility for ensuring all personal activities are reliablyclosed on time, against agreed targets (e.g. PPM, Deviations, Change Controls, Training,etc). Where required, you will complete training to ensure a current aseptic license is keptup to date.• You will write clear and accurate maintenance instructions. Where appropriate you willassist with the organising and delivering of training and / or instruction of engineering andnon-engineering staff.• On occasion, providing cover for team members, including Technical Specialists andEngineering Coordinators as defined (e.g., point of contact).• For this role is it important to understand emergency procedures and follow safe systemsof work. There is an expectation you will ensure compliance with EHS and securitypolicies and procedures, rules, signage and instructions at all times. In addition, you willconduct timely reporting and support investigation of all accidents, near misses andbreaches of rules.What we need from you: • The role requires a multi-skilled engineer, with both electrical and mechanical competencies, with a stronger emphasis on the mechanical skillset.•  The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach, with a strong focus on safety, risk assessment, and effective problem-solving, particularly in managing day-to-day maintenance activities and responding to breakdowns.•  Demonstrable expertise in Fabrication and welding is essential.• A minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 is required, with a preference for candidates progressing towards or holding an HND, alongside at least 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.• As a proactive and logical person, you can use problem solving, utilising the companies’lean philosophies.• Be available to support Manufacturing through the Engineering Call-Out process. You arecompensated for this.• The ability to work to critical timelines and effective interpersonal skills are key to highlevel performance in this position.• As we work within a COMAH environment, alignment to these standards is critical.• Flexibility around time of work. In general requirement for this role is 8 am to 4 pm, however the expectation is that the successful candidate work around the time of work when the business requirements arise.• Relevant technical certifications or apprenticeships are valued• Experience in fabrication and welding are  highly valuedOther requirements:• Strong knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies• Proficient in statistical analysis, root cause investigation, and problem-solving techniques• Strong project management abilities and experience leading cross-functional initiatives• Experience with engineering documentation, specifications, and change control processes• Expertise with CAD software, manufacturing systems, and data analysis tools• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work in cleanroom environments and comply with required PPE/gowning procedures• Available to work flexible hours and provide on-call support as needed• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and manufacturing software systems• Experience with automation, controls, and process validation preferred• Knowledge of equipment qualification and calibration processes• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities• Ability to mentor and train manufacturing personnel• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs with assistance
