Near Ripon, Monday to Friday role, overtime available, no nights, PPE provided, free parking, pension. tools
Mechanical Engineer required to work in a busy manufacturing environment undertaking planned and preventative maintenance of equipment as well as attending breakdowns and repairs. the role may suit a recently qualified engineer or someone looking to move away from shift work.
The role
Undertaking planned and preventative maintenance on a range of automated production equipment Attending breakdowns, fault finding and repair Assist in the upgrading and installation of new manufacturing equipment. Keeping records of service histories, maintenance visits etc. Fault finding on wiring, control panels and 3 phase motors Identifying and reporting problems to the Plant Manager and working to implement improvements where possible. Manufacturing jigs, fixtures and test equipment, working with Drills, grinders and lathes Maintaining conveyor systems, gears, rollers and motors Working with PLC's to identify faults Installation and maintenance of duct work and pipework Setting, operating and maintaining process control checks on production equipment.
