Join a market-leading food manufacturing company operating in a modern, high-tech production facility in Skelmersdale. We're seeking Electrical or Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineers to support a growing and well-structured engineering team.
This is not a firefighting role — you'll be part of a large, well-invested factory with healthy maintenance budgets , strong processes, and a supportive team ethos . Shift Pattern:
Panama Shifts – Days and Nights (12 hours) (3s & 2s) (2 weeks Days then 2 weeks Nights)
Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:
Deliver hands-on engineering support to keep production running smoothly
Perform both reactive and planned maintenance
Use CMMS system to record and track maintenance activities
Work closely with production to meet performance goals
Follow safety and repair best practices at all times
Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
Be part of a collaborative, supportive engineering team with a strong culture of teamwork
What We're Looking For:
Time-served or apprenticeship-trained engineer
Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or ONC/HNC preferred)
Strong electrical skillset
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
A positive, proactive mindset and a team player
Eagerness to grow, learn, and contribute to a forward-thinking engineering department
