Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

£59,000 + Benefits

12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business based in the Burnley area. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly automated, well-invested, and well-maintained site that places strong emphasis on engineering standards and continuous improvement.


The Role:

As part of a skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of automated production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on automated machinery
  • Diagnose and fault-find on electrical systems, including PLCs
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with production to maximise equipment performance
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards


About You:

  • Electrically qualified (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Strong fault-finding skills on electrical systems and controls
  • Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of PLCs (fault finding preferred)
  • Proactive, team-oriented, and committed to high engineering standards
