Industry leading, established Manufacturer requires an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join the team on NIGHT shift, supporting manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, and operational targets. Working closely with line management and production teams, as Maintenance Engineer, the role will include ensuring all engineering tasks meet high standards and contribute to continuous improvement.

Working in a modern, fast-paced environment, carrying out a physically demanding role, successful candidates for the role of Maintenance Engineer will require a minimum of 2 years’ experience within FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) environment, mechanical engineering experience (electrical also advantageous) and relevant qualification. Offered as a Permanent contract, the position of Maintenance Engineer provides competitive salary (dependent upon experience), attractive company benefits and friendly, supportive colleagues.

Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:

* Carry out safe engineering operations, reporting hazards and adhering to Health & Safety policies

* Ensure machine repairs and modifications meet site quality standards

* Communicate effectively with production teams and provide clear shift handovers

* Support and mentor machine operators in problem-solving

* Participate in continuous improvement projects and technical trials

* Maintain accurate records in EMA and Gemba systems

* Follow preventative maintenance schedules and support site security

Skills and Experience required for the role of Maintenance Engineer:

* Minimum 2 years’ engineering experience in FMCG - essential

* Relevant engineering qualification - essential

* Mechanical engineering experience required, electrical experience advantageous

* Strong focus on product quality and safety

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Proactive, reliable, and accountable

* Able to work autonomously and make critical decisions

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours: NIGHT Shift
Shift Pattern WK 1: Wednesday to Friday – 6pm to 6am (36 hours)
Wk 2: Wednesday to Saturday – 6pm-6am (48 hours)

Salary: Dependent upon Experience
