The Role

As an Mechanical Biased Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant equipment within a FMCG processing environment.

Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights), you will ensure maximum plant uptime through reactive and planned maintenance activities.

Performance Objectives

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Diagnose and repair mechnanical faults on production and process equipment
Working on process and packaging equipmemt
Fault finding on Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Mechanical Drive Systems
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with health & safety and site regulations
Minimise downtime and improve reliability across the plant
Extensive use of CMMS for work recordinG
Accurate shift reporting and handover. Person Specification

Time-served Mechanical Engineer (Apprenticeship or equivalent)
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience within FMCG , process, manufacturing or similar environment
Strong mechanical fault-finding ability on industrial systems
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, safety-critical environmentApply
