Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
£36,000 + Overtime | Weekly Pay | Excellent Benefits

Looking for a hands-on engineering role where your skills are valued, your overtime is paid properly, and no two days are the same? This is a great opportunity to join a well-established, 24/7 manufacturing site as part of a close-knit 2-person maintenance team.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play a key role in keeping the plant running smoothly, combining planned maintenance with fast-paced reactive work. From fault finding to installing new machinery, this is a role where your mechanical skills will be fully utilised.
Your day-to-day will include:
Maintaining and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Welding, fabrication, and mechanical fitting
Responding to breakdowns and keeping downtime to a minimum
Supporting machinery installations and upgrades
Working safely while keeping clear, accurate reports
What We’re Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or time-served apprenticeship)
Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
Practical skills in welding/fabrication and general maintenance
A proactive, team-focused approach
Experience with slitting/decoiling machinery is a bonus, not essential.
Shifts & Overtime:
Rotating 2-shift pattern (days, afternoons)
Regular overtime available, including weekends
