We are the fastest growing beauty brand in Europe with 40+ salons globally, and we are driven by a passionate and disruptive team to achieve our mission. We’ve brought together a world-class team from a wide range of industries. As we continue to expand, we need brilliant people (like you!) to help bring the Townhouse brand to life across the world.
Our values
Here at Townhouse, we live by our three core values:

Nice people
Townhouse was born out of the idea that ‘details matter’ — our customers strive for perfection in the details, and so do we. Our passion fuels our work and drives constant innovation. Finally, we pride ourselves on finding nice, kind-hearted people to join our mission to revolutionise the industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Maintenance Engineer at Townhouse, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our salons safe, functional, and looking their absolute best. Working closely with the Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll deliver day-to-day reactive maintenance, support planned preventative maintenance, and assist with wider engineering and facilities projects across our growing estate.
This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone practical, proactive, and solution-focused, with a genuine interest in developing their skills within a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General Maintenance
Carry out reactive maintenance tasks to support salon operations and presentation standards
Respond to maintenance requests raised through the internal ticketing system
Address defects, faults, and hazards promptly to minimise disruption and downtime
Complete basic health and safety visual checks and maintain simple compliance records
Support of Technical Operations
Assist with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks where trained
Support the Senior Engineering Manager with larger projects, installations, and technical works
Accurately record maintenance activities, including tasks completed, materials used, and time spent
Facilities and Operational Tasks
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in a safe, organised, and compliant manner
Identify and report recurring faults, building issues, or operational risks
Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and safe working practices
Liaise with external contractors when required and support quality assurance checks
ABOUT YOU
You have hands-on experience in a general maintenance, facilities, or practical trade-based role
Experience in high street retail, hospitality, or multi-site environments is a bonus
You’re confident carrying out a broad range of building and repair tasks to a high standard
You’re proactive, reliable, and take a solution-focused approach to maintenance issues
You can follow technical instructions, procedures, and guidance, with training provided where needed
You communicate clearly and professionally, building positive relationships with salon teams and managers
You’re comfortable working independently across multiple sites while staying aligned with wider operational priorities
You’re willing and able to travel regularly between salon locations
You have basic IT skills, including email use and digital job logging systems
You’re organised, with the ability to manage your workload, meet SLAs, and keep accurate records
Exposure to planned preventative maintenance, asset care, or working with external contractors is advantageous
LOCATION
This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Support Centre in Central London, and we offer a hybrid working model, aligned with role requirements.
Please note: regular travel across London and regional salon locations is required. Occasional out-of-hours or weekend work may be needed to support urgent repairs or planned works (agreed in advance). Travel expenses will be covered in line with company policy.
