Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer who has a background in the Food or FMCG industry? Would working for a business that puts you first interest you?
I’m working closely with a business that supplies to some of the highest brands in their field. With continuous investment in the site and wider business they never standstill in making it the best environment to work in. Having two highly automated facilities on one manufacturing site, there is plenty of opportunity for progression.
The ideal Maintenance Engineer will be able to demonstrate examples of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, machinery repair on both manual and automated systems. Limiting downtime is essential to a successful manufacturing facility and optimising equipment performance is key! Responsibilities will include:
* Performing routine maintenance on production equipment (Electrical & Mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors and pumps)
* Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
* Assist team to work towards maximising plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised.
* Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities
* Work closely with productions staff to achieve daily targets
* Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, industry regulations are maintained.
We are looking for you to have the following qualifications and experience:
* City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or apprentice trained
* Previously worked within a food manufacturing or production environment
* Proficient understanding of manufacturing engineering equipment, especially process and production lines.
* Having the ability and experience to use CMMs would be an advantage
* Knowledge of PLC systems with the ability to program would be an advantage
In return the shift pattern would consist of 4on 4off rotating with a starting salary of £55,000 along with additional standard company benefits. Continuous training and development is on offer with their on site training facility
