Maintenance Engineer
Location: Near Andover
Salary: £38ph
Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
To carry out preventative maintenance programmes on all machinery and equipment ensuring they are kept to high standard and always ready for use.
To work closely with management to ensure all maintenance work is prioritised correctly and carried out in a timely manner
Fault diagnose equipment to determine corrective actions
Carry out repairs to electrical and mechanical equipment, to minimise impact of downtime.
Work to ensure that incoming parts are fitted as soon as possible when delivered, closing out "temporary" repairs with long term fixes to acceptable standards
Assist with sourcing and ordering spare parts
Establish and maintain an efficient stock of essential parts, using good stock control techniques
Maintain accurate, up-to-date maintenance documentation, following good documentation practices and keeping Site Manager updated on maintenance progress on site
To ensure any breakdowns or problems are resolved Safely, quickly and efficiently, using the resources available
Be a part of a 24/7 callout service in conjunction with the rest of the maintenance team.
To assist with any 3rd party contractors in carrying out their duties on site as and when required
To oversee that repairs to equipment carried out by 3rd parties off-site, are fully traceable and repairs are sent out and returned as quickly and efficiently as possible
Maintain High Health and Safety standards at all times
Follow Hygiene standards in Phase II/Phase III and in accordance with Company rules and regulations
Skills & Experience Required
A sound mechanical and electrical knowledge to level 3 or above
18th Edition
Inspection and Testing certified
415V experience
Hydraulic and Pneumatic knowledge
Weld to a good standard
Good working knowledge of Drives, motors, gearboxes, inverters, soft starts and safety circuits
Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
Computer literacy including knowledge of basic Microsoft packages
Self-motivated and the ability to work in a team
Good verbal and written communication skills
A high level of technical ability
A high level of flexibility in relation to working hours
Several years' industry experience in a similar role
Ability to weld and carry out small amounts of steel fabrication.
Full driving licence
Desirables:
Previous experience working on and knowledge of the specialised machinery that on a modern day farming environment.
PLC knowledge
Boiler and site utilities experience.
IOSH training
Legionella training.
