Pearson Whiffin Recruitment is working with a forward-thinking manufacturing business seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical bias. This role would suit a Level 3 qualified, multi-skilled engineer with experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, who takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, reliability and performance.

The Role

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on heavy industrial plant, machinery and site facilities

Support preventative maintenance schedules to maximise uptime, performance and product quality

Diagnose and repair electrical faults while supporting mechanical maintenance where required

Work safely and collaboratively with production and engineering teams

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site

Play a key role in ensuring the site operates safely, efficiently and reliably

Shift Pattern – Double Days

Week 1: Monday – Thursday 6:00am–4:30pm, Friday 6:00am–4:00pm

Week 2: Monday – Thursday 12:00pm–10:00pm, Friday off

This is a 44-hour contract with regular overtime available, paid at time and a half or double time. Many engineers choose to work additional shifts, significantly increasing their annual earnings.

About You

Level 3 qualified Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias

Strong mechanical maintenance capability

Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Strong commitment to safety, reliability and quality

A proactive, hands-on engineer who works well as part of a team
