Maintenance Engineer – Electrical/Mechanical, Luton in Bedfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs on various plant machines and equipment safely and professionally.
- Develop and execute planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Utilise the online Maintenance Dashboard IMO for efficient work planning.
- Manufacture spare parts using lathes, milling machines, and welding equipment.
- Diagnose and repair equipment faults, ensuring timely return to operational service.
- Assist with the installation and repositioning of machinery.
- Conduct periodic inspections and maintenance of electrical services.
- Maintain detailed records and logs of maintenance activities.
- Uphold high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Time-served engineer in machine tool fitting or equivalent qualification.
- Formal IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 qualification or equivalent.
- Valid UK driver’s licence.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a comparable environment.
- Strong understanding of installation processes and current electrical legislation.
- Familiarity with planned and preventive maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading engineering/electrical drawings and using testing equipment.
- Methodical approach to systems and adherence to established work standards.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety.
