Maintenance Engineer (Ad Hoc) Location: Grantham Rate: £400 - £420 per day We are currently looking for experienced and reliable engineers to support operations at a highly automated cold storage facility based near Grantham. This is a unique opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art site featuring high bay systems, automated cranes, conveyors, and monorail systems within a large-scale distribution environment. The Role: You will be part of a small on site team, typically working in pairs, carrying out maintenance and support across: Automated crane systems (up to 40 metres high) Conveyor and monorail systems High and low bay storage areas General PPM and reactive maintenance Working Environment: Cold storage environment operating at approximately -20°C Hypoxic atmosphere with reduced oxygen levels (around 14.4%) to prevent fire risk Full PPE provided including specialist cold gear This role will suit individuals who are physically fit, resilient, and comfortable working in extreme environments. Shift Pattern: Ad hoc shifts available Rotating patterns including days and nights Typical rotations include 5 on 4 off, 4 on 5 off, or 5 on 5 off Two full weekends off per month ...
