The Role
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks, including carpentry, tiling, plumbing, and overseeing contractor work. You will ensure all maintenance activities are completed to a high standard and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct general property maintenance, including carpentry, tiling, door/window repairs, and more.
Install and repair gutter and drainpipe systems.
Perform basic plumbing repairs.
Source materials from local suppliers and manage contractor work when required.
Provide support to colleagues, covering absences and offering on-call assistance.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and health and safety regulations.
Complete any additional tasks or responsibilities as requested by management.What We're Looking For
We are looking for a professional with:
Proficiency in using basic hand tools.
Expertise in building trades such as carpentry, plastering, or tiling.
A full, clean UK driving licence.
Proven experience in a similar role and a basic understanding of current building regulations.
Strong practical ability, attention to detail, and numeracy skills for measuring and making calculations.
