Position: Assistant Gas Engineer Salary: £30000 p/annum Location: Based in Tiverton/Exeter Hours: Full-time, 42.5 hours p/week. We're currently recruiting for a Mains & Services Assistant Engineer (Level 1) to join a busy and growing team working on gas network installations.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, varied position supporting Mains & Services Gas Engineers across a wide range of domestic and commercial projects. Work includes installing pipework, supporting underground vessel installations, and working across new housing developments and caravan parks. You'll be involved in: Assisting with installation of gas pipework to domestic properties Working with a grundomat (mole) for trenchless pipe installation Digging pits manually (ground conditions permitting) and completing reinstatement Supporting underground vessel installations (working alongside excavator teams) Testing and commissioning pipework Working on new build sites (open trench) and commercial installations This is an outdoor role in a physically demanding environment, working in all weather conditions .
