SALARY: Starting at £32,000 per annum + Regular Pay Reviews + Benefits and Career Progression

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Shift Work – 4 on 4 off Days and Nights / 12 Hour Shifts

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Machine Technician / Machine Operator / Machine Minder who has experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing / production environment, operating and running machinery with excellent communication and team working skills.
As a Machine Technician / Machine Operator / Machine Minder you will help ensure that the moulding machines run to the specification established by the Technician Department and that the containers are produced to the customers agreed specification.
Focus is also paid to minimising downtime and scrap levels.
Working as a Machine Technician / Machine Operator / Machine Minder you will join the Machine Technician Team at the company’s Milton Keynes site

DUTIES
Your duties as a Machine Technician / Machine Operator / Machine Minder will include:
• Machine Operation and Maintenance: You'll ensure that moulding machines and all ancillary equipment are in excellent working order. This includes carrying out routine checks, performing minor repairs as instructed, and reporting any significant defects to a supervisor to prevent production delays
• Quality Control and Assurance: You'll be responsible for maintaining the high quality of all products. Your duties will involve performing regular visual and weight checks, identifying and addressing faults, and accurately completing all necessary quality control paperwork
• Technical Adjustments and Set-Up: You'll use your technical skills to remove, clean, and realign parts of moulding machines, including heads, tooling, and blowpins
• Raw Material Management: You will manage the continuous supply of raw materials by changing over bins. It's crucial that you report any potential shortages to your supervisor promptly to avoid any disruption to the production process
• Workplace Housekeeping: You will maintain the machines, equipment, and your immediate work area to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation at all times
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing / production environment (Plastics exposure would be a distinct advantage)
• Previous experience of operating / running machinery – training provided on specific machinery
• Good communication skills
