Machine Operator

My client is currently looking for a Machine Operator to join an innovative, established business on a temporary to permanent basis, based in Birtley.
This is working on a rotating shift pattern of days and afternoons.
You must be able to do both shifts.
There will also get a pay rise for the successful candidate once permanent.
Morning shift -
Monday to Friday 06:00 until 12:00 £12.71 per hour
Afternoon shift -
Monday to Friday 14:00 until 20:00 £14.83 per hour
Responsibilities -
* Operate and monitor machinery in line with production requirements * Set up machines, including loading materials and adjusting settings * Ensure machines are running efficiently and producing quality output * Carry out routine quality checks and record results * Identify and report faults, defects, or breakdowns * Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment * Read and follow work instructions, job sheets, and specifications * Meet daily production targets and deadlines * Maintain a clean and safe working environment * Adhere to all health & safety policies and procedures
Requirements -
* Previous experience as a Machine Operator or within a manufacturing environment * Ability to follow instructions and work to set processes * Good attention to detail and quality standards * Basic mechanical understanding or aptitude * Strong awareness of health & safety * Good communication and teamwork skills * Ability to work independently and manage workload
