Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Technical LV Electrician with strong industrial experience to join a growing engineering team in Derby. This role will involve working across a range of industrial electrical systems, carrying out installation, maintenance, fault finding, and supporting critical operations.
You will play a key role in ensuring reliability and performance of electrical systems, with participation in an on-call rota to support reactive maintenance and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out installation, maintenance, and fault finding on LV electrical systems
Work on industrial equipment, control panels, and distribution systems
Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime
Support commissioning and upgrade works where required
Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
Participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours support
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as an LV Electrician within an industrial environment
HV Knowledge a preference but not essential - a willingness to learn is very much needed
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience with control panels, motors, and distribution systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Knowledge of relevant electrical standards and regulations (e.g. BS7671)
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to participate in on-call rota
Travel, Hours & Call-Out
Working away is required, with all expenses fully covered.
Standard working hours: 8 hours per day at standard rate, with time-and-a-half paid thereafter.
The company provides a 24/7 call-out service
The successful candidate will not be placed on the call-out rota until they are fully inducted.
Discretionary call-out payments to be confirmed.
