Spirehouse is recruiting a Locum Planning Lawyer on behalf of a reputable Local Authority in the East of England. This interim role offers the opportunity to work within a well-regarded legal team supporting a broad range of planning work. Duties: Drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements and other planning obligations with developers and local authorities Advising on planning applications, appeals, and inquiries, ensuring compliance with planning law and governance frameworks Handling enforcement matters, including drafting enforcement notices and advising on procedures Providing legal support on development projects, including conservation areas, highways, and compulsory purchase orders Delivering clear, practical advice to planning committees and officers, supporting decision-making and governance compliance
