The Role The successful candidate will provide consultant-level care in general ophthalmology alongside specialist oculo-plastic services.

The post includes outpatient clinics, procedural work appropriate to experience, and participation in the 1:9 on-call rota.

Main Duties Deliver high-quality consultant-led care in general ophthalmology; Provide assessment and management of oculo-plastic conditions, including eyelid, lacrimal, and peri-orbital disease; Undertake oculo-plastic procedures in line with skills and service requirements; Participate in outpatient clinics and theatre/procedure sessions; Contribute to the 1:9 ophthalmology on-call rota; Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes; Participate in clinical governance, audit, and service development; Support teaching and supervision of trainees and other staff, as appropriate. If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.

• This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary. In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
