Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Community Homelessness Prevention Officer in the Central London area.
You will need to have worked in a similar role within a Local Authority Housing Department, and have experience of the following:

Experience of working within homelessness services
Working knowledge of homelessness legislation, policies, and preventative processes Key Responsibilities

Provide early intervention and preventative support to residents at risk of homelessness
Manage a complex caseload, progressing cases proactively and independently
Work directly with residents in the community, meeting face-to-face and adapting approaches based on individual need
Deliver holistic, person-centred support addressing housing, financial, health, family, and wider wellbeing issues Identify early indicators of homelessness risk and take effective preventative action
Liaise with residents, colleagues, and partner agencies via email, telephone, and face-to-face contact
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, commissioned services, and voluntary and community sector partners
Coordinate multi-agency support to ensure residents receive joined-up, timely assistance
Accurately record and document all activity using case management systems and relevant spreadsheets
Communicate clearly and effectively, leading all interactions with empathy and understanding
Ensure casework and advice comply with homelessness legislation, policies, and local processes Please get in touch for more information.
