Job Description

An esteemed energy trading firm with a proven track record of innovation and adaptability is currently seeking to expand its European energy team. Recognised as a key player within the global energy markets, the company specialises in proprietary trading, continually adapting to evolving market conditions. This role is being advertised on behalf of a client seeking a talented individual to contribute to modelling and trading within the LNG sector. Overview of the role:

Collaborate with the European energy team to develop supply and demand models for global LNG markets. Build and maintain robust models for major LNG importers and exporters. Generate trading ideas and assist in executing strategies based on model insights. Work closely with the development team to refine tools and increase model resilience. Opportunities for role development based on risk appetite and performance.

Required experience and skills:

Proven experience in European energy markets, particularly LNG trading, analysis, or optimisation. Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in Python and statistical modelling. Excellent organisational, detail-oriented, and diligent work ethic. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Strong interest in trading, energy markets, and mathematics including probability and statistics.
