Live in Carer - Self Employed

The role is to provide live-in care with a second live-in carer to support a high level spinal cord injured female. Level C5/C6, paralysed from the shoulders down. Also suffers with life threatening condition called autonomic dysrelexia.

Job description

Daily bowel management - suppositories, digital and manual evacuation
Catheter care
Personal care
Assist with passive stretches
Driving to appointments and social events
Cooking
Light domestic duties
Laundry
Administration
Assist with volunteering

Attributes required

Good level of English (spoken and understanding
Be calm in emergency situations
Work under instructions
Attention to detail
High level and understanding of cross infection control
Reliable
Honest and trustworthy
High standards in own personal hygiene
Enhanced DBS, UTR code required.
