Lighting & Rigging Technician (IPAF) – Freelance
Day Rate: £220
Start Date: From 5th January 2026
Contract Type: Freelance / Short-term
Location: Onsite studio (UK)
Overview
We’re supporting a studio and production bay upgrade scheduled for Q1 2026 and are looking for experienced Lighting & Rigging Technicians (IPAF certified) to support a series of bay flips and studio reconfigurations. This is a hands-on, practical role suited to technicians who are comfortable working at height and supporting physical studio builds.
Key Responsibilities
Rigging and de-rigging lighting equipment Working at height using access platforms (IPAF required) Assisting with studio bay flips and reconfiguration Moving and installing lighting, furniture and production equipment Supporting the setup of bays ready for live production use Working closely with studio operations and production teams to keep timelines on track
Required Experience
Valid IPAF certification (essential) Previous experience in studio, production or photographic environments Confident working with lighting rigs and studio infrastructure Comfortable with physical work and moving heavy items safely Reliable, proactive and able to follow technical direction
