Lift Supervisor / Ganger – HS2 Project\nStart Date: 23rd January\nDuration: 8–10 Months\n\nOrbital Recruitment are currently recruiting an experienced Lift Supervisor / Ganger for a long-term role on a major HS2 project in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled supervisor with groundworks and deep drainage experience to secure consistent work on a high-profile infrastructure scheme.\n\nPay & Hours\n\n * £26 – £30 per hour (dependent on experience)\n\n * Monday to Friday\n\n * 07:00 – 17:00\n\n * Long-term work available (8–10 months)\n\nThe Role\n\nAs Lift Supervisor / Ganger, you will be responsible for overseeing lifting operations while also leading a small groundworks gang on site. You will play a key role in ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with HS2 standards.\n\nKey duties will include:\n\n * Supervising all lifting operations in accordance with approved lift plans\n\n * Coordinating and leading a groundworks / drainage gang\n\n * Ensuring safe slinging, signalling, and movement of materials\n\n * Overseeing deep drainage and pipe laying works\n\n * Working closely with site management and plant operators\n\n * Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and productivity\n\n * Ensuring compliance with HS2 safety, environmental, and site procedures\n\n * Carrying out daily briefings, checks, and toolbox talks where required\n\nEssential Requirements\n\n * Proven experience working as a Lift Supervisor / Ganger on civils or infrastructure projects\n\n * Strong background in deep drainage and pipe laying\n\n * Valid CPCS or NPORS Lift Supervisor ticket (A62 or equivalent)\n\n * Experience supervising lifting operations and groundworks teams\n\n * Ability to work safely in deep excavations and high-risk environments\n\n * HS2 experience is advantageous, but not essential\n\n * Must be able to pass HS2 medical, drug & alcohol testing, and site induction\n\n * Right to work in the UK\n\n * Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Competitive hourly rate of £26 – £30 per hour\n\n * Long-term, stable work on a flagship HS2 project\n\n * Consistent weekday hours\n\n * Professional, well-managed site environment\n\n * Ongoing support from Orbital Recruitment\n\nApply Now\n\nIf you are an experienced Lift Supervisor / Ganger looking for long-term work on HS2, we want to hear from you.\n\nApply now or contact Jon Roome for further details on (phone number removed)
