Lift Repair Manager
North West UK
Salary: Up to £50,000
A growing, well-established UK engineering business with a strong reputation for quality and safety is looking for an experienced Repair Manager to support its continued success. This is a key leadership role with real influence and long-term career potential.
As Repair Manager, you will take full ownership of repair activity across the lift engineering division. You will ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while keeping customers informed and confident. The role combines hands-on technical knowledge with strong people leadership and planning skills.
Key responsibilities
Manage and coordinate repair works from quotation through to completion
Lead, motivate and support a team of repair engineers
Ensure all work meets safety standards, regulations and company procedures
Carry out site assessments and provide accurate repair recommendations
Work closely with planning and scheduling teams to allocate labour and resources
Maintain clear, professional communication with customers throughout each job
Monitor budgets, timelines and quality of work
Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce downtimeWhat we’re looking for
Proven experience in lift engineering, ideally within repairs or major works
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problem-solving ability and technical knowledge of lift systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and reports
Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
