Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 & B2)Location: Bournemouth, UK Salary: £71,400 + £4,000 Shift Allowance Relocation support may be availableMust be able to secure UK security clearance, including ITAR requirementsWe are a recruitment partner supporting a leading aviation organisation in the search for experienced B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join their Aircraft Maintenance team based in Bournemouth.This position operates within a highly regulated Part-145 environment, supporting aircraft maintenance activities critical to operational and contractual delivery.Working PatternWeek-about shift rotation:Early Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:30 - 14:00Late Shift: Monday to Thursday, 13:00 - 22:30; Friday, 13:00 - 21:15Flexibility is required to work additional hours and support deployments within the UK and overseas.Role PurposeReporting to the Crew Chief, the Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 & B2) is responsible for supporting the safe, compliant, and effective delivery of all Part-145/A8-23 aircraft maintenance activities across the main operating base and deployed locations.The role requires a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance, alongside supporting team development and engineering decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and certify aircraft maintenance in accordance with Part-145 requirementsMaintain safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across all maintenance activitiesSupport aircraft operations at the main base and deployed locations worldwideSupervise engineering personnel to ensure adherence to maintenance procedures and standardsEnsure the accurate and timely completion of all maintenance documentationCoordinate engineering tasks to meet operational targets and timelinesAssist the Crew Chief with task prioritisation, scheduling, and daily team managementProvide technical guidance and support to team membersPromote a Just Culture and encourage safety reportingMaintain personal authorisations, ensuring ongoing compliance and recencyContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencyDeputise for the Crew Chief when requiredKey RequirementsUK CAA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 Licence (unrestricted)Minimum of 5 years' experience within an aircraft maintenance environmentStrong understanding of Part-145 regulatory requirementsProven ability to work to deadlines in an operational environmentEffective communication and team leadership skillsEligible for UK security clearance, including ITAR requirementsWillingness to work shift patterns and deploy as requiredCore CompetenciesStrong commitment to safety and complianceLeadership and team supervision capabilityEffective communication and stakeholder engagementProblem-solving and decision-making abilitySelf-motivated with a proactive and professional approachKey DeliverablesSafe and compliant completion of maintenance activitiesAccurate recording of all maintenance work undertakenAdherence to regulatory and company proceduresDelivery of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to operational requirementsContribution to team performance, safety culture, and continuous improvementif you are interested please apply and Max Carr from DCS will be in touch.
